Preparation for First Holy Communion
On Wed. 22nd March the boys and girls in second class celebrated their First Penance in Curracloe church. The children have now completed all their preparation masses and are looking forward to their First Holy Communion which will be held on 14th May. We wish them well in their preparation.
James and the Giant Peach
We are really enjoying our novel, ‘James and the Giant Peach’. We loved drawing pictures from the story.

12/01/2017 Our Walk
We are learning about road signs and their meanings.
We went on a journey around the village and saw some signs.
We also went to the playground in the hotel. When we got back, we mapped our journey and did pictures to show this.
We had great fun and learned a lot.
02/12/2016 Toys!!
In keeping with our ‘Toys’ theme, we wrote about our first toy. We really enjoyed describing our first toys and reading about our friend’s toys also.

We made a collage of old toys.
We brought in our first toys and our favourite toys. We had a lot of fun learning about toys.

Today, we went to Room 5 to read with a partner. We love doing this. We read really well together!
We had a spooky and fun Halloween.
We also had a visit from the Junior Hurling County Final winners!!
