During the year, your child’s name, address, D.O.B., & phone no. may be given to the Health Board and Dentistry Service (HSE). This is to allow them to make appointments for your child, for hearing/sight tests, etc.

RSE (Relationships & Sexuality Programme) This programme is now part of the New Curriculum. During the year, there are only one or two lessons actually on sexuality. You are told about the content of these lessons before the teacher actually teaches it in class.

I give the class teacher permission to teach the ‘Stay Safe Programme’ to my child. This programme teaches children personal safety skills. This programme has to be taught now in all primary schools, as per directive from Department of Education & Science.
